The flower and the willow

Today I had the pleasure of seeing Memoirs of a Geisha for the third or forth time, in fact, it's one of my favourite films! Life of geishas seems mysterious to european people and In Japan, even today, geishas are accorded considerable respect for their accomplishments and for what they represent. This is my favourite moment from this film, it's such a beautiful and unusual dance of the heroine of the film.

I came across one wonderful photoshoot dedicated to the mysterious and exotic life of geishas. An insightful, curious look into the beautiful inimitable world. Here are these wonderful snapshots!
Gorgeous photoshoot! Can't help but post them, so enjoy!
Best wishes, Alexandra
